Meet Irrin! With over 20 years of experience working with vulnerable and marginalized populations, she has made it her mission to advocate for mental health awareness and policy reform, speaking across the country on important topics in these areas.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Irrin supervises social work students from universities including George Mason University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Catholic University of America. Her expertise encompasses a wide variety of experiences working with teens, adults, families, and couples across different age ranges. She has extensive experience supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, self-harm and suicidal ideation, substance and alcohol use, and relationship issues.

Her expertise includes specialized training in ADHD, schema therapy, and trauma-informed care, complemented by nearly 15 years of experience working with individuals facing severe mental illness and managing crises. Additionally, her professional background includes group work, supervision and management, chemical dependency, and school environments, alongside extensive outpatient clinic experience. She has received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, and addressing dual disorders of substance use and mental health.

With a strong commitment to fostering inclusive environments, Irrin has become a voice for change, emphasizing the importance of mental health resources and access for all individuals, especially those from underrepresented communities.

In her personal life, Irrin enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking in the nearby parks or exploring new trails with her dog. She also loves to cook, often experimenting with new recipes that bring friends and family together. These simple joys help her connect with others and find balance in her busy life.
